Improvements in Writing with Devices for Severe Cerebral Palsy Children


Abstract
The purpose of this study shows the improvements in writing abilities with devices for cerebral palsy children.
8 male students with cerebral palsy participated in this study from March 6th to July 20th. Their grades ranged from the first to the fourth grade.
The result of this study are as follows;
1. The students were given writing exercises which indicated that they could write with the acid of their device.
2. The students writing techniques improved with the lapse of time. Their writing became smaller, neater, and legible.
3. The ability to write gave the students confidence in their daily school activities. also, facilitated the students¢¥ motor developments which increased their learning abilities.
In accordance with results, it is deemed that
a) the students were able to write.
b) more developments need to be made in writing devices.
c) more exercises/programs need to be created for these students.
